Shashank Nakate
Creating graffiti has been known to help people express their innermost feelings. The art is not very difficult and there are no set ways to do it. A few styles that will introduce you to the art and help you get started have been mentioned in this story.
To define it in simple words, graffiti is an art form used to express feelings and bring forth the current state of mind of the creator. The surface or base used in most cases, is a wall. The art flourished in Rome and Greece during ancient times.
Decline in the use of this form of expression was observed when it was used only by gangsters to mark their importance and dominance over the rivals. However, it has started gaining popularity once again and many artists are experimenting a lot with the art. One can learn to draw graffiti letters with little bit of practice.

Art of Graffiti Writing

The roots of graffiti can be traced back to the period of 30,000 BCE. These art works are included in the category of cave paintings/pictographs. The tools used in writing were animal bones and natural pigments. The contemporary culture of these prehistoric times gets reflected in pictographs.
Hunting expeditions, festivals, and other events are depicted through the graffiti art works of this period. Today, graffiti is also used in the memory of a person or an event. To leave traces in wet cement so that the graffiti remains there permanently, is a common practice.
Tag Writing
It is a kind of signature which acts as the identification of the creator of a particular art work. A tag, apart from being a signature, can be a sign or a visual design of an individual. The names encoded in tags have their meanings associated with or which arise from the typical local culture (including the slang words).
Use of only a limited number of letters is the specialty of tag writing. One should however, understand that there is no specific/standard rule for tag writing; as stated above, the format/styles arise purely out of the local culture or the environment in which the artist has evolved.
